WHAT IS CODE DANS+ FOR CREATORS? 

This open call is intended for individual creators or small collectives of creators.

You, as a creator, are at the heart of this: you want to develop personally in terms of creation and organisation. In a collective of creators, you create this work together; everyone has an equal say and shares equal responsibility for creating it. There is no single leader.

CODE DANS+ supports creators at various levels, from taking the first step to a pre-professional pathway:

• You are creating something for the first time, or you work at an amateur level. You have an idea and want to turn it into a real creation. Perhaps you have never created your own work before, but the urge to create has been there for a long time. Enjoyment, passion and the desire to share something with an audience are central. You are looking for a safe environment to experiment and discover what drives you as a creator.
• You have already created something and want to develop further. You have already produced works and feel that you want more. Your artistic language is beginning to take shape and you want to build on what you have already learnt. You are ambitious and are looking for guidance to take the next step, both artistically and organisationally.
• You are working at a pre-professional level and actively building your career. You have already completed several projects and are working hard to establish yourself professionally in the dance sector. You are building your network, seeking funding and developing your own artistic vision. CODE DANS+ gives you that final push to take the next step into a professional context.
