In the first lockdown, I created visual material with my body, where you can’t always see what is in the air and what is on the ground. I try to make the viewer believe that I’m flying, floating or hanging upside down, without ever allowing my face to be seen. That is a very conscious choice. These are, after all, dark times - certainly for performing artists now who are literally forbidden from showing their faces in public.
