Tea Party is an interdisciplinary production with live music and contemporary dance. It is inspired by the intense desire to dance, party and break loose. We couldn’t find any outlet for our dance energy over the last year, and we express this in a club performance with an underlying protest against powerlessness. It is a peaceful act of resistance to the mentality of doing what you’re told.
Before and afterwards, DJs from Ghent and Brussels take you with us on our trip. Everyone is welcome for a drink in the evening sunshine!

Gaëlle Callewaert is a young choreographer just starting out, who has been active in dance for several years as a performing dancer. She graduated from Fontys School of the Arts and then worked at Corpo Maquina, Musichall, Edilson Show Paris, The Cast, Showcase Entertainment, etc. Along with her partner Gillis Cornelis, a final year film student at KASK, she founded Ceci n'est pas un VZW. It is a non-profit organisation that produces multi-disciplinary productions and films, and also hopes to organise workshops to stimulate young people to express themselves through art forms.
