LanDans Festival is a new cultural event in Landen. It is about dance, arts, workshops and more!
With this festival, we want to create a space in Landen where everyone feels a sense of home. Be yourself, but also discover something new within yourself. A place of exchange between communities through dance and art.
The festival presents what alumni of Generation XI from P.A.R.T.S. are currently working on, bringing together the diverse practices and experiences they have developed over the past decade. These artistic perspectives and knowledge will be shared with communities in Landen and beyond.
A part of the program shows school collaborations, in which professional artists gave creative workshops to students. Among those are works made by the artists 10 years ago when they were still students themselves, now re-created with a new generation of students.

LanDans Festival is a new cultural event in Landen initiated by Yuika Hashimoto, a Japanese dance artist who would like to integrate her artistic practice into the city of Landen.
For the first edition of this festival, we invite GXI: a group of international artists who graduated from P.A.R.T.S. in 2016. They are the 11th generation of students since the school’s founding — Generation XI, which inspired their name. During their final year, they created the GXI Festival as their own graduation festival, organized independently from the school curriculum. A group of students approached P.A.R.T.S. with the idea of celebrating the end of their three years of training through a self-organized festival.
The initiative was a great success. Inspired by it, P.A.R.T.S. later integrated an end-of-year festival into the official curriculum. GXI is therefore proud to have initiated a tradition that continues at the school today.
In the same spirit, we hope that the LanDans Festival will give new momentum to the cultural life of Landen and contribute to the development of its local arts scene.
