Sketches of Emotion is a hybrid performance that combines contemporary dance and visual art in an interactive installation. We invite participants - performers and spectators - to create intuitively, to make connections beyond words and to shape the space with their whole bodies.
During the performance, works are created in the moment. In this way, a fleeting gesture transforms into a timeless work of art. This process fosters trust, creative freedom and intergenerational and intercultural dialogue, uniting two art forms often considered separate.
About JC Choreography
JC Choreography is a contemporary dance company based in Liège, founded by choreographer Justine Copette. Justine received her performing arts degree from the Academy of Contemporary Dance in Budapest (2019) and her management degree from the IHECS in Brussels (2021). Since 2019, she runs JC Choreography and performs regularly in Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands. Justine has collaborated with several renowned choreographers, including Willy Doner, Isabelle Schadt, Jan Martens and Emanuel Gat.
The company aims to support emerging artists by providing a platform for production, creation and networking. Justine's approach focuses on mutual collaboration, where each artist can contribute their knowledge and experience. She emphasizes collective work and values respect for individual expression, promoting exchanges between dancers and artists from different fields.
