Alter-endipity

Alessia Stracuzzi

Alter-endipity is my multidisciplinary solo, weaving together dance, video, music, and voice. Alessia embodies hAeLy, a hypersensitive being without gender or age, on an existential journey told from many perspectives, a testament to the unexpected strength a single body can carry. Though fictional, the story feels raw and real, rooted in her own experience with fibromyalgia. The audiences is invited to step into a sensory landscape where the lines between dream and reality slowly dissolve.

Suitable for all audiences aged 12 and up.

About Alessia Stracuzzi

Alessia Stracuzzi is an Italian dancer, choreographer, and filmmaker based in Brussels. She graduated from Centro Coreografico Opus Ballet in Florence in 2021 and from La Faktoria Choreographic Center in Pamplona in 2022, and works as a freelancer artist building an active network between Belgium and Italy.

Since 2020, she has been developing a personal research practice centered on the correlation between image, sound, and movement, exploring how these elements can influence one another. Her work is characterized by a strong connection between music, the body's impulsive reaction, and the emotional transport that follows. She explores how individuality is shaped by society's gazes and expectations, opening a window into human vulnerability.

She is part of the main cast of Ritournelle, a creation by Echo Dance Company, and assisted Lila Magnin on the piece Sāmara. Her short solo Altered Frequencies has been awarded and selected for several platforms between Belgium and Italy, winning the 7th edition of Corpo Mobile in Rome and the 3rd edition of the Lens Dans Festival in Barcelona. It was also presented in Brussels between summer and fall 2025 at several venues, including Les Halles de Schaerbeek, Studio Thor, Centre Culturel Bruegel, and Bronks Theatre.

She is currently focused on developing Alter-endipity, a hybrid piece combining performance, video, and installation. The project was selected by Iles - Artist Project as part of the SUITCASE mentorship program, and receives financial support from CODE DANS+ by Danspunt.
