Indigo Passage is an interdisciplinary performance that brings together fashion, dance, music and visual art.
Inspired by the global history of indigo, the performance explores how cultures influence one another through movement, craftsmanship and shared traditions.
Drawing on four dance styles – Kathak (North Indian dance), contemporary dance, African dance and contact staff – the production offers a poetic reflection on identity, connectedness and cultural exchange.
With expressive choreography, sculptural costumes, compelling imagery and a rich soundscape, Indigo Passage brings to life the invisible connections between people and cultures.

About Akashie
Through Akashie, Shanti De Bruyne is developing an interdisciplinary brand in which fashion, movement and storytelling merge to form an artistic language. Inspired by her Belgian-Congolese roots and her background in Kathak, fashion design and fashion technology, she explores themes such as identity, heritage and cultural exchange. Her work represents a convergence of craftsmanship, movement and intercultural dialogue, in which clothing is not merely worn, but tells stories.
